BOTW: CougarTown Edition

This week we were very lucky to have actress Carolyn Hennessy, star of ABC's hit comedy Cougartown, come to the showroom. Carolyn Hennessy came to the showroom to film a spot for Charlie's Japanese TV show on UTB. The UTB crew filmed Charlie as he styled Carolyn.

It was such a fun day in the showroom, Carolyn had us all fall in love with her sense of humor, down to earth attitude and style. By the end of the day we were all laughing like old friends about her escapades on set as Barb the ultimate cougar of Cougartown.

While walking through the showroom arm in arm with Charlie, Carolyn fell in love with this tote in beautiful shades of auburn. So this week it was only fitting to have Carolyn be the star of Bag of The Week. She chose a bag that's perfect for a woman on the go. It has enough space to carry all of your essentials by extending to accomodate more things, perfect right? But what we love most of all is how it reminds us that fall is officially here!

What You Need to Know Now.

Per usual, its been hectic here at the Charlie Lapson showroom. We've been meaning to update you on many different things but it's been busy from one event to the next. Today we thought we'd just do a quick update of what we've been up to. Next week, we should be back to our normal programming!

• Remember Compassion for Fashion? One of Charlie's mantras is to always give back. Compassion for Fashion is an organization that Charlie is developing highlighting the ways in which celebrities and others in the industry can give back. Just in time for the Emmy's, Reality Cares held an event that celebrities and designers attend that raised awareness for different charities. Charlie donated signed merchandise to be auctioned off to benefit Breast Cancer Care and Creative Coalition.Different designers also outfitted and styled celebs that attended the event for the upcoming red carpet. Charlie also did interviews with the attendees about what charities they support for the Compassion for Fashion organization. Pictured below is the lovely Carolyn Hennesy on the right, star of "General Hospital" and "Cougar Town" during the Reality Cares event during her Compassion for Fashion interview.

• As mentioned, the 2010 Emmys took place a few weeks ago marking that Awards Season has officially started. Besides the Reality Cares event we participated in, Charlie of course got to dress a few celebrities. Remember the lovely Stacey Tookey from this post? Then, the beautiful Sandra Vidal was wearing a few of Charlie's designs as her choice of accessory. Besides helping style celebrities, Charlie himself got to attend the main event which we here in the office are all jealous about.

Are you ready for Bag of the Week?!

Here we are again with the Bag of the Week! Satchels are huge this season and we found the perfect one for fall. Rebecca came in today with a black sleek look which goes great with this bag.

Another Great Bag of the Week!

Rochelle decided to make this gloomy day a little better by adding her favorite Charlie Lapson bag to her outfit today. Rochelle wearing black and grey wanted something to pop out of her outfit, the gold bag with black leaves does just this. This bag can be taken anywhere... It can be dressed up or dressed down. Rochelle loves using this bag for work because it fits everything that her other bags can’t.

Rochelle also says she loves taking this bag to gym because it makes a great duffle bag. She says fashion goes everywhere, so she takes it anywhere and everywhere. She also uses it as a carryon well traveling. Rochelle says “if you want to stay fashionable and make it work, you have to know when to make it a little more subtle”. This bag conveniently has side zipper pockets for easy access to anything you can fit inside.

Bag of the week!

David walked into the office sporting his Charlie Lapson Laptop bag and watch. Little did we know that David’s choices this morning would make for a perfect entry with bag of the week. Up until today we’ve never had a selection from the mens accessories to be chosen here on Blogspot. You can definitely expect to see a lot more from the men's collection from here on out!

The outfit looks great, it’s very cold outside so David chose a very light outfit (but still very warm) and brought it together with the CL laptop bag and watch, bringing everything together and looking simple and sleek. The CL laptop bag can cater to any working gentleman. You can dress it up with a suite or dress it down for a more casual but, professional look. The best thing about this laptop bag is the professionalism it holds. It's the perfect bag to take to work and into a meeting. It fits most laptops and has all the space you would need. Here's what David has to say about his Charlie Lapson set.

"This bag is great and very comfortable which, I sometimes have a hard time finding a comfortable laptop bag. Between my computer and everything else laptop bags normally weigh down on my shoulders. Not my Charlie Lapson laptop bag. I actually find it to be one of the most comfortable laptop bags. It has a leather band perfect for comforting my shoulder well carrying it. Normally, I can't wait to take off heavy bag off my shoulders but, with my CL bag I don't mind carrying it. This is a factor anyone should look for when looking for a new bag and they know will be carrying a few extra necessities in it."

What we love most about this bag is the fact that it doesn't have unnecessary pockets on the outside which makes it look sleek and stylish. The bag is simple but, will add to any outfit. David loves his Charlie Lapson bag and recommends it to any professional and even students.
